Extra Mile Fundraising Walk

On Saturday 7th September the Deputy Mayor of Seaford Maggie Wearmouth and Councillor Imogen Taylor joined Volunteers, Trustees, staff, friends and family of Lewes District Citizens Advice, to walk from our Newhaven office to The Salts in Seaford to raise £1105.00!!  Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the walk despite the wet weather.

Lewes District Citizens Advice are a small, local, independent charity that is embedded within its community. Every day our trained volunteers and staff provide free, confidential, independent, and impartial advice.

We are the leading provider of generalist and specialist advice across the Lewes district. We support people to help them overcome the initial and underlying causes of their problems and are a voice for individuals on the issues that matter to them.

Our support is open to all and delivered in the community, at our offices and via the phone, email, and video conferencing. We must raise all our own income to run our charity and we are a paid member of the National Citizens Advice Association.

Our primary focus is in tackling poverty, inequality, and reduced life opportunities. We support some of the most vulnerable and at-risk people in our communities, with many people coming to us in crisis.

We strive to ensure we are accessible, inclusive and empowering. We ensure no one is digitally excluded from accessing support and we provide outreach support in a variety of locations across our district.
